Humans

Humans, a race which falls under the category of Primates. They are the most prevalent species on Earth. The term "human" refers to mankind's current evolutionary stage as a species. Humans are frail. They are people you see everyday with as much variation you could possibly imagine. Most Humans are unaware of the supernatural rather it occurs around them or not. Unlike other races Humans are not naturally in-tune with the supernatural.

There are rare instances when a Human attains a sense for the supernatural. Most of the time these consist of martial artists whom have trained to use their life force, however, doing such a thing is dangerous. While raw life energy is extremely potent using it will lower the lifespan of the user. Though, there are those who manage to attain what is known as “spirit energy”. Depending what part of the world you are from it might be called ki or even chi, but in the end it is all spirit energy (“reiki”). They are all the same regardless where you come from. Spiritual Energy grows with the user. It grows in amount and density. They become faster, stronger, more durable. It is unique from person to person as fingerprints and voiceprints.

Reiki has various uses most of which are known only to martial artists such as grandmasters. Energy can be converted into weapons of pure energy, used to enhance the strength of body parts, as well as healing. There are many varying uses, and while they are not as expansive as magic, allowing many possibilities.

Humans can be born with innate abilities such as Extrasensory Perception and other abnormal abilities called ESP. Compared to magic, which can be trained over time, inherent ability is absolutely necessary to use ESP. To them it is instinctual as they cause phenomenon to occur as if simply breathing. Rather you can utilize it at birth varies from case to case. There are cases where “special” Humans are born possessing ESP but this is extremely rare. ESP is described as a “channel” that one possess that others, normally, do not possess. Those who use such abilities do not require the use of spirit energy, however, use mental/physical stamina instead.
